Absolution

A wallpaper I made some time ago, and submitted as a wallpaper pack on April 22nd here. It was inspired by the song Sing For Absolution by Muse. My idea behind the image is the threatening and violent look of the planet in the background; the planet can only be saved by an act of absolution...

I'm submitting this again as a "stand-alone" wallpaper, because I reckoned not everyone has a broadband connection which downloads 5.1 MB in under a minute.

The planet, sky and sun are done in the GIMP, in about 5 hours. Landscape is done in Terragen, in about 30 minutes.
